The Ethicon Vicryl Rapide V70H Absorbable Suture is a sterile, braided, coated surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910, a copolymer of glycolic acid and lactic acid. Designed to emulate the performance of collagen sutures, it offers temporary soft tissue support.

This suture is ideal for soft tissue approximation where short support is required, between 7 and 10 days, with rapid absorption. It is not indicated for ligament surgery, ophthalmic, cardiovascular or neurological surgery. Absorption occurs by hydrolysis, starting with the loss of tensile strength and followed by the loss of mass, completing in 42 days.
