The QuickProfile FPV Ag Test (Feline Panleukopenia Virus Ag or Parvovirus) is a rapid immunochromatographic test used for the qualitative detection of virus antigens in cat feces or vomit.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The lateral-flow immunochromatographic test has a test window. The test window has a T (test) zone and a C (control) zone that are invisible before the sample is added. When the sample is applied to the well, the liquid flows laterally across the surface of the test strip. If the sample contains a sufficient amount of antigens, a visible band will appear in the T zone. The C band, which serves as a procedural control, should always appear after a sample is applied and indicates a valid result.

KIT COMPONENTS
- 10 foil pouches, each containing a cassette, a pipette and a desiccant
- 10 diluent tubes
- 10 swab sticks
- 1 instruction manual

SAMPLE PREPARATION
Collect the dog's feces or vomit using the swab stick. Make sure the swab is sufficiently saturated with the sample.
Insert the wet swab stick into the supplied diluent tube. Shake to ensure good sample extraction.

TEST PROCEDURE
Open the foil pouch, remove the test cassette and place it on a clean, flat surface.
Use the supplied pipette to transfer 4 drops of the prepared sample into the well of the test cassette.
During the procedure, make sure that no air bubbles form inside the pipette.
Read the results within 10-15 minutes. Results are inaccurate after 15 minutes.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
- Positive test: two lines are visible in the cassette reaction area (both the C and T lines).
- Negative test: only one line is visible in the area (C).
- Invalid test: if no control line (C) appears after the test, the result must be considered invalid. The presence or absence of the (T) line cannot be taken into account. In this case, the test procedure may not have been followed correctly or a test past its expiry date may have been used: in this case, repeat the test with another pack.
 
The presence of a line next to the letter (C) indicates the control line and indicates that the test was performed correctly.
The (C) line is not a reference line and may have a different intensity from the (T) line.

TEST STORAGE
Store the tests at room temperature (4 ~ 30°C). Do not refrigerate.
Do not store in direct sunlight. The test is valid until the expiry date printed on the package.
