The QuickProfile Test (Canine Ehrlichia- AB) is a rapid immunochromatographic test used for the qualitative detection of antibodies in canine blood, serum or plasma.

TEST TIME: 5~10 minutes

SAMPLE: serum, plasma or whole blood

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The lateral-flow immunochromatographic test has a test window. The test window has a T (test) zone and a C (control) zone that are invisible before the sample is added. When the sample is applied to the well, the liquid flows laterally across the surface of the test strip. If there is a sufficient presence of antibodies in the sample, a visible band will appear in the T zone. The C band, which serves as a procedural control, should always appear after a sample is applied and indicates a valid result.

KIT COMPONENTS
- 10 aluminum foil pouches, each containing a cassette, a pipette and a desiccant
- 10 diluent tubes
- 10 centrifuge tubes
- 1 instruction manual

SAMPLE PREPARATION
For serum or plasma samples
Centrifuge the dog's blood sample to obtain serum or plasma. Use fresh or stored whole blood (2-8 °C within 5 days).
Note: Using serum or plasma is recommended to increase the test's sensitivity.

TEST PROCEDURE
Open the aluminum foil pouch, remove the test cassette and place it on a clean, flat surface
Use the pipette provided to transfer 2 drops of the sample (serum, plasma or whole blood) into the diluent tube and mix thoroughly.
Transfer 2-3 drops of the resulting sample into the well of the test cassette.
During the procedure, make sure that no air bubbles form inside the pipette.
Interpret the results within 5-10 minutes. Results are not accurate after 10 minutes.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
Positive test: Two lines are visible in the cassette's reaction area (both the C and T lines).
Negative test: Only one line is visible in the area (C).
Invalid test: If no control line (C) appears after the test, the result must be considered invalid. The presence or absence of the (T) line cannot be taken into account. In this case, the test procedure may not have been followed correctly, or a test past its expiration date may have been used; in this case, repeat the test with another package.

The presence of a line near the letter (C) indicates the control line and indicates that the test was performed correctly.
Line (C) is not a reference line and may have an intensity different from line (T).

TEST STORAGE
Store the tests at room temperature (4 ~ 30°C). Do not refrigerate.
Do not store in direct sunlight. The test is valid until the expiration date printed on the package.
