The operating modes include clean cut, coagulated cut, forced coagulation, soft coagulation and bipolar coagulation with forceps.

It can be used with normal or neutral plate.

The Diatermo MB160 is particularly suitable for very moist operating environments, such as mucous membranes, or for tissues with highly variable compositions, requiring a usable power reserve. For these reasons, the Diatermo MB160 is recommended for gynecological and orthopedic surgery.

Total safety: OC (open circuit) alarm: an audible signal and a flashing red light warn the user that the plate is not inserted. In this case, cutting and coagulation operations are set to OFF.
