The MAGUS Bio DH240 microscope is designed for observing transparent and translucent biological specimens using the bright-field method. The device features a binocular head with an integrated digital camera. The revolving nosepiece holds 4 objectives and is equipped with an intelligent light control system. The selected operating settings are displayed on the integrated LCD screen.

The MAGUS Bio DH240 model is quite compact. It is lightweight and small in size. Its ergonomic body design makes it easy to transport and store. All cables and the power supply are concealed at the rear of the microscope, and the side openings in the stand can be used as carrying handles.

The binocular head also enhances the design: the digital camera is integrated and takes up no extra space. Both tubes rotate 360° around their axes, so the interpupillary distance can be adjusted to suit your needs. The microscope is equipped with 10x/20 mm eyepieces. They include flat rubber eyecups, which are practical for eyeglass wearers. These eyecups prevent the lenses from touching the eyepieces and avoid damage. The optics are corrected for infinity. Diopter adjustment rings on the microscope tubes adjust the user's visual acuity.

A digital camera built around an 8 MP sensor produces images at 4K resolution (3840x2160 px). It perfectly captures all the nuances of the observed object. The optimal combination is achieved with 4x and 10x objectives. The camera can capture photos and videos of stationary, inactive specimens. It can be used to adjust the microscope's focus. Images can be transferred to a computer via Wi-Fi.

The revolving nosepiece of the MAGUS Bio DH240 model is designed to hold 4 objectives. It is inward-facing. The objective in use is directly in front of the user, while the others point in the opposite direction. This design clears space in front of the user, making observations more convenient. Coded revolving nosepiece: when the objective is changed, the specimen illumination changes automatically. Since objectives with different magnifications have different light transmission, changing objectives causes considerable fluctuations in the illumination intensity at the eyepiece. This tires the eyes, and the researcher has to spend time adjusting the light brightness each time. The intelligent lighting system remembers the user's settings for each objective, and when the nosepiece is rotated, the light is automatically adjusted to the appropriate intensity. This is particularly convenient when frequently changing the microscope magnification during observations.

The microscope uses a 3 W LED as its light source. The illuminator provides transmitted light with adjustable color temperature: the user can set the desired value between 3000 and 7000K. The LED has a service life of 50000 hours.

Two focusing knobs are located on the same axis on opposite sides of the microscope and are used for coarse and fine adjustment. In addition, the microscope has a coarse focus lock knob, used after changing objectives, and a coarse focus tension adjustment ring. All adjustment mechanisms are located at the bottom of the microscope body. To operate it, the user can rest their hands on the table and adopt a comfortable position, which is particularly important for long observations.

The specimen stage has an ergonomic shape. It is equipped with a belt-driven mechanism that allows the specimen to be moved gently across the stage surface. The specimen holder is secured with 2 screws and can be easily removed. There is no positioning rack.

The model's Abbe condenser also has distinctive features. It is fixed at the desired height and is located at the center of the microscope's optical axis: it cannot be moved accidentally, a particularly important feature for beginner researchers working in a shared space. The iris diaphragm is adjusted using a knob set according to the values marked on the condenser. Each value corresponds to the magnification of a specific objective, so the knob must be moved to the position corresponding to the objective in use.

All settings can be checked on the integrated LCD screen, another feature of this MAGUS microscope model. The screen displays the selected illuminator brightness, its color temperature, the magnification of the objective in use, and the operating mode. Most of these functions are configured via the screen.
