The MAGUS Metal D600 digital metallographic microscope BD LCD is designed for the study of objects in reflected light using bright-field, dark-field and polarization microscopy techniques. The microscope is used to examine metal and semiconductor samples, as well as other highly reflective polished and flat samples. The transmitted light technique allows the examination of translucent samples such as thin films and particles stuck on filters. The microscope can be used in mechanical and metallurgical engineering, engineering and quality control laboratories and polytechnics.
Digital camera
MAGUS CHD40 is an HDMI digital camera with three video interfaces and automatic switching between Full HD and 4K based on the monitor resolution.
The camera features an 8 MP sensor and produces lifelike images at 4K resolution (3840x2160 px) when connected via HDMI or USB 3.0. When connected via Wi-Fi, the image quality is Full HD (1920x1080 px).
The camera uses an HDMI interface to connect directly to a TV, monitor or projector. This way, the camera works independently without a connection to a PC. The HDMI interface enables fast and stable transfer speed from the camera to the external display. You can connect the camera to a PC via Wi-Fi or USB 3.0. The video is recorded at 30 fps.
The camera combines high FPS speed and high HDMI bandwidth. Videos are therefore brilliant without any blocks or jumps between frames. At maximum resolution, the image is very detailed, moving objects are visible without errors and the moving object is displayed without delays.
Monitor
The MAGUS MCD40 monitor is designed to use a MAGUS microscope display system. It is connected to a camera mounted on the microscope to display images in real time. It supports cameras with HDMI connection and 4K resolution. The screen is 13.3 inches. The IPS matrix provides bright images with wide viewing angles. When looking at the display from the side, the color reproduction is not distorted. You can place the display on a table or shelf using a foldable stand or install it directly on the camera or microscope base.
Optics
The trinocular head is equipped with a trinocular tube to accommodate a digital camera. The beam splitter directs the light onto the camera, in two positions: 100:0 and 0:100. The light beam reaches the eyepiece or the trinocular tube. Diopter adjustment ring on the left eyepiece.
The magnification of the microscope in the basic configuration is 50–400x. Additional objectives and eyepieces will increase the magnification range. The microscope uses plan achromatic objectives with a long working distance suitable for bright and dark field microscopy techniques. There are five slots in the nosepiece to mount objectives. Four objectives are included and one is optional. The nosepiece is oriented towards the inside of the instrument, so that the user can see which objective is inserted in the optical path.
Lighting
The illumination uses warm halogen lamps that do not tire the eye during long-term observations. The transmitted light illuminator has a power of 30 W and the reflected light illuminator has a power of 50 W, which ensures comfortable observation by dark field microscopy.
The reflected light illumination system contains: a dark field device, polarization device, centerable field and aperture diaphragms for the Köhler illumination method and color filters. The light source can also be centered.
The transmitted light illumination system includes: a condenser with a flip-up lens for low magnification objectives, an aperture and a field diaphragm for the Köhler method.
Stage and focusing mechanism
The sample moves with the stage along the two axes. The height of the examined sample must not exceed 20 mm. The stage has a transparent slide for the observation of translucent samples.
The focus is adjusted by means of coarse and fine focusing knobs located on both sides of the bottom of the microscope, allowing the observer to place his hands freely on the table rather than holding them in the air. The coarse focusing mechanism has a locking knob on the right and a tension adjustment knob on the left.
Accessories
The range of accessories compatible with the MAGUS Metal 600 microscope BD includes: long-distance objectives for dark and bright field observations, eyepieces, calibration slides and digital cameras.
