The Levenhuk Discovery Pico is a monocular biological microscope with achromatic optics designed primarily for beginners. It is particularly suitable for studying the microcosm at school and university, as well as for a first introduction to microbiology. This is a sturdy, easy-to-use microscope that produces a clear, detailed image and comes with the educational book "Invisible World".

The microscope has a monocular head. The head can be rotated by 360° around the vertical axis, making observations more convenient. The head can also be inclined at 30°. The inclination makes prolonged study more comfortable. The optical system includes achromatic objectives with 4x, 10x and 40x magnification and a 10x wide-field eyepiece. The 40x objective has a retractable spring-loaded mechanism that protects the front lens. The magnification range of this microscope is 40x to 400x. The optics are made of glass.

The dual LED illumination allows you to study specimens of any degree of transparency: opaque, translucent and transparent. The illumination brightness is adjustable. Standard batteries (included) or mains power (AC adapter included) can be used to power the illumination.

Slides are secured to the stage with clips. A disc diaphragm is provided to adjust the light beam from the lower LED beneath the stage. The microscope features coarse and fine focusing, allowing you to adjust sharpness more quickly and conveniently. The microscope body is made of metal.

The kit includes the educational book "Invisible World" about the wonders of the microcosm. It tells about the tiny creatures that can be studied under a microscope, the structure of this optical instrument, and scientific experiments that can be carried out at home. The book is written in simple language, minimizing the use of complex scientific terms, and contains vivid illustrations.
