MAGUS Bio 230BL Biological Microscope

The MAGUS Bio 230BL is a binocular microscope with achromatic objectives and LED illumination for the observation of biological samples such as smears and thin sections. Observations are made using the transmitted light microscopy technique (bright field). The microscope can be equipped with additional accessories for observations in dark field, polarized light and phase contrast techniques. Application areas: pharmaceuticals, medicine, biotechnology, veterinary medicine, forensic science, agriculture, etc.

Optical

The optical tubes rotate 360°, which allows the position of the eyepieces to be adapted to the height of the observer. On the left barrel there is a diopter adjustment ring. A digital camera (purchased separately) can be placed in place of the eyepiece, also in the left optical tube.

Since the nosepiece has 5 slots, you can add a fifth objective lens in addition to the ones provided and achieve a higher maximum magnification. In its basic configuration, the microscope offers a magnification ranging from 40x to 1000x, but the upper limit can be increased up to 1500x, 1600x or 2000x with the use of additional eyepieces. The optics of the microscope are infinitely correct. The nosepiece is oriented towards the inside of the instrument.

Lighting

The light source for observations in transmitted light is a 3 W LEDLED lamp, powered by AC mains. The color temperature remains unchanged at any brightness level and The life cycle of the LED is 50,000 hours.

The illumination is controlled by adjusting the field diaphragm and aperture diaphragm, so Köhler lighting can be set up. The Abbe condenser is height adjustable and can be centered. You can insert a darkfield slider or a phase contrast slider into the appropriate slot on the condenser. Sliders make it easier for the user to switch between various microscopy techniques.

Stage and focusing mechanism

You can move the study object on the stage using a mechanical insert, which can be removed if necessary. The coffee table does not have a positioning rack, so the movement mechanism takes up less space.

Focusing is controlled by coaxial knobs for coarse and fine (macro- and micrometer) focusing. These knobs share the same axis (coaxial) on both sides of the microscope. Positioned at the base, they can be rotated comfortably and effortlessly. The coarse focus is equipped with a fixing knob and the tension of the coarse screw can be adjusted. Turning the knobs is smooth and simple.
