The MAGUS CBF12 digital camera is designed to work with a microscope: to take photographs, record videos, and display images on an external screen. Its features are best suited for brightfield work with 4x and 10x flat-field microscope objectives and stereo microscopes.

Sensor

The MAGUS CBF12 camera is equipped with an Aptina CMOS sensor with a light sensitivity of 8.4 ke−/lux.sec. A maximum undistorted field of view can be achieved using an adapter with 0,5x magnification.

Photo and video recording

The 20 MP sensor provides realistic, highly detailed images at a resolution of 5120x3840 px. In this mode, video is captured at 20 fps. The frame rate can be increased, thereby improving video smoothness, by reducing the resolution. Available option: 2560x1920 px (45 fps). In any selected mode, it is convenient to adjust the microscope's focus. The mode with increased frame rates is suitable for studying moving objects and rapid processes, as well as for presentations and demonstrations.

Interface

A USB 3.0 interface is used to connect to a computer. Data transfer is 10 times faster than with the previous-generation interface. The camera's high performance makes it an excellent choice for professional laboratories, research, and university education.

Software features

The MAGUS CBF12 camera includes a USB flash drive with software. It is used for photography, video recording, image viewing, and editing. After software calibration, linear and angular measurements can be made.

Installation

The camera can be installed in the eyepiece tube in place of the eyepiece (using a C-mount adapter) or in a separate trinocular tube of the microscope (using a C-mount adapter and an adapter ring for the required mounting diameter). Note that the C-mount adapter may already be included with the microscope; however, its availability depends on the specific model and configuration. Before purchasing a camera, we recommend checking the contents of the microscope package and then, if necessary, purchasing the appropriate adapters.
