MAGUS Bio 250T Biological Microscope

The MAGUS Bio 230B biological microscope is a professional instrument for observing biological samples in transmitted light. The main microscopy technique used is brightfield microscopy (immediately accessible). Darkfield observation techniques, with phase contrast or polarized light, can also be used, but they require the use of accessories to be added to the microscope. This microscope is perfect for laboratory observations and research in medical, pharmaceutical, forensic, agricultural and various other fields.

Optical

Planachromatic objectives provide clear, contrast-rich and detailed images with minimal aberrations. The magnification, using the objectives and eyepieces included in the package, varies from 40x to 1000x, but the upper limit can be increased with the use of additional eyepieces. The optics are infinitely correct, which means that various other accessories can be inserted along the optical path.

The trinocular head is equipped with a separate vertical tube, for housing a digital camera (not included). This optical tube is placed vertically. The trinocular head is equipped with 360° rotating optical tubes and it is possible to adjust the diopters with a ring on the left barrel. The trinocular head design allows you to easily adjust the eye relief to the height of the observer.

The nosepiece, with its objectives, is oriented towards the inside of the instrument and can accommodate 5 objectives at the same time: 4 are included in the package and the fifth slot remains free. An additional lens can provide an additional magnification factor within the available magnification range.

Lighting

The 30 W halogen lamp provides bright illumination and allows you to have a good view of the sample structures with any observation technique and any objective. The light has a warm color temperature, which is more comfortable for the eyes during long working hours. There is a dimmer. The light is powered by the AC mains.

Köhler illumination can be configured with the height-adjustable, centerable Abbe condenser, aperture diaphragm, and field diaphragm. There is a slot on the capacitor into which to insert a darkfield slider or a phase contrast slider. Using a slider allows you to quickly switch between observation techniques, so you can improve the performance of your microscope.

Stage and focusing mechanism

The coffee table does not have a positioning rack, which makes it more ergonomic. The mechanical insert moves the sample smoothly and can be removed for manual scanning.

The focus knobs are located on either side of the microscope, near the base of the stand. Their position allows you to adjust the sharpness of the image by keeping your hands flat on the table, instead of in mid-air, ensuring greater comfort during prolonged observations. The knobs are coaxial (centered on the same axis). The coarse focusing mechanism is equipped with a fixing knob, and the tension of the coarse screw can be adjusted. In general, the focusing mechanism operates smoothly, without the need to exert excessive force on the knobs to achieve the desired sharpness.

Fixings

The range of optional accessories includes eyepieces, objectives, polarization instruments, darkfield capacitors, phase contrast devices, calibration slides and digital cameras. Designed specifically for the MAGUS Bio 250T, these accessories fit perfectly into the microscope and maximize its potential.
