The MAGUS Lum 400L fluorescence microscope can be used for two microscopy techniques: fluorescence in reflected light and brightfield in transmitted light. When equipped with additional accessories, the microscope can be used to conduct polarized light research and for phase contrast and darkfield techniques. You can use the microscope for laboratory research and diagnostics in the fields of medicine, pharmacology, forensic science, biotechnology, veterinary medicine, etc.
Digital camera
The MAGUS CLM10 digital camera is designed for dark field microscopy and fluorescence techniques. The camera is equipped with a 2.3 MP sensor and produces realistic images at a resolution of 1920х1200 px. It is recommended for 40x, 60x, and 100x lenses. When making observations with medium-magnification lenses, the camera will produce even sharper details.
Videos are recorded at 120fps at the highest resolution. Videos flow smoothly, with smooth and delicate transitions between frames. The movement of the object is shown in real time, without delay. The camera makes it easy to observe moving objects and is suitable for academic demonstrations.
The camera is equipped with a USB interface 3.0. Data transfer speed is 10 times faster than USB cameras 2.0. The high-speed camera is recommended for professional labs, research, or university education.
Optical
The trinocular head consists of two optical tubes for conducting observations and a trinocular tube for housing a digital camera (not included). For long periods of observation in maximum comfort, the eyepiece tubes can be adjusted by rotating them 360° to fit the height of the observer. They are inclined at 30°.
The nosepiece with five objectives is oriented inwards, so that the user can see which objective is inserted in the optical path. It is equipped with infinitely planachromatic objectives: three for the brightfield technique and one for the fluorescence (fluorescent) technique. Once all lenses are installed on the nosepiece, a slot remains available. It is used to adjust the position of the illuminator for observations in reflected light. An optional objective lens can also be installed for higher magnification.
Lighting
Reflected light: five LED 5 W Every LED it falls into four specific bands: blue (B), green (G), violet (V), and ultraviolet (UV). To choose the LED You need to rotate the bezel. The Lighting Advantage LED is to quickly reach maximum brightness and turn off quickly, making it easy to switch between brightfield and fluorescence. The LED They do not overheat, do not need a heatsink and have a lifespan of 50,000 hours before needing to be replaced. Fluorescence at LED It is a safe and easy-to-maintain microscopy technique, therefore it is recommended for use in schools and universities.
The transmitted light is produced by a LED 3 W The life cycle of LED is 50,000 hours. The lighting system also includes a condenser. The capacitor has a slot available for a darkfield slider or a phase contrast slider. The slider makes it quick and easy to switch between microscopy techniques without having to change the capacitor.
In transmitted and reflected light, Köhler lighting can be set. The object of study is sharp and has no image artifacts. The margins don't darken, and every lens reaches its maximum resolution.
Stage and focusing mechanism
The microscope stage is equipped with a removable sample holder so that manual scans of the microscope can be performed. The coffee table does not have a positioning rack, so it requires less working space. A black plate can be installed on the stage to eliminate any unwanted light from the transmitted light source when observing in reflected light.
The coaxial fine (micrometer screw) and coarse (coarse screw) focus knobs are positioned on both sides at the base of the microscope. The coarse focus is equipped with a fixing and tension adjustment knob.
