Description
The measurement of PCR in whole blood, serum or plasma has 2 purposes:
1) The CRP level allows you to identify and track infections and diseases that cause inflammation (lymphoma, lupus, giant cell arteritis, osteomyelitis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.)
2) The level of hs-CRP helps to assess cardiovascular risk and peripheral cardiovascular system disorders. High hs-CRP values have the highest risk of cardiovascular disease.
- Can be used on whole blood or serum/plasma.
