Coenzyme Q10 is a substance found in human tissues and is present in particular in the mitochondrion, an intracellular organelle that acts as an “energy control centre”. Mitochondria are present in all tissues and are found in greater numbers in tissues characterised by particularly active oxidative metabolism, such as the heart, skeletal muscle, brown adipose tissue, liver and brain.

Coenzyme Q10 plays a fundamental role in transporting electrons across mitochondrial membranes and is involved in the processes that produce energy from food. Ageing, physical exercise and stress decrease the concentration of coenzyme Q10.

CoQuTen is a supplement containing 30 mg per softgel of Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10)*, delivered with the aid of tiny particles that allow greater bioavailability compared with traditional forms. This patented process ensures excellent absorption of Coenzyme Q10 (a highly hydrophobic molecule) directly in the intestine, without the need for emulsification by bile salts. The use of statins may reduce the production of coenzyme Q10 in the body.

Directions for use
Swallow 1 softgel daily with water, preferably with a meal. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Packaged in bottles of 50 softgel capsules.
