The resolution limit of the 10x/0.25 objective is 1,1 µm.
Chromatic aberrations are corrected for blue and red light, spherical aberration is corrected for green light, and field curvature is corrected to 90% of the field-of-view diameter.

The objective is infinity-corrected. The parfocal distance is 45 mm. When using a 10/22 mm eyepiece, the field of view diameter will be 2.2 mm. Designed for use with specimens without a cover glass.

The 10x metallurgical objective has a long working distance of 5 mm. The working distance is the distance from the objective's front lens to the specimen at which the specimen's image is in focus. Specimens may have pronounced topography, for example, printed circuit board samples with electronic and semiconductor components at different levels. A long working distance prevents accidental damage to the objective's front lens or the specimen during focusing and when the nosepiece is rotated to change objectives.

The lower limit of the possible microscope magnification when using a 10x objective is 125x. A lower magnification would not allow details resolved by the objective to be distinguished in the image produced by the objective. The upper limit of the possible magnification when using a 10x objective is 250x. A higher magnification is considered "useless" because it does not provide any new details in the image of the object.
With a 10x/0.25 objective, use eyepieces with magnification from 12,5x to 25x.

Plan achromatic objectives produce an image that is equally in focus at the center and edges, with minimal distortion. This feature is used for capturing digital images and for using wide-field eyepieces with a field of view of 22 mm.
