Levenhuk Discovery Micro is an entry-level biological microscope that allows you to observe transparent samples. These can be slides with ready-made samples, the microcosm living in a drop of water, or freshly prepared slides. The microscope is small and lightweight, which makes it portable. As a result, you can use it not only at home, but also take it with you on a trip or to the countryside.

Optical system
The magnification range is from 40x to 640x, so you cannot see bacteria or blood cells. However, this microscope allows you to see parts of animal and plant tissue, observe some types of cells, as well as examine parts of insects and tiny organisms that live in water. The microscope is equipped with three objective lenses (4x, 10x and 40x) and a two-position sliding eyepiece of 10x—16x. The 45° inclined head makes prolonged observation more comfortable, and the sharpness is manually adjustable using the coarse focus knobs. The microscope is easy to use, even for a novice user.

Adjustable LED lighting system
The samples are placed on the stage, where they can be secured with two clips. There is a LED light underneath the stage. Its use is recommended in case of insufficient natural light. Thanks to the battery power supply (not included), the lighting system can also be used far from a power outlet. The brightness of the lighting is adjustable. In addition, the size of the light beam can be adjusted using the disc diaphragm.

An educational book about the microcosm
The microscope is sold with the educational book “Invisible World”. This colorful book will illustrate the microcosm to young scientists. They will be able to read chapters about the history of microscopy, microorganisms and a variety of structures that can be seen under the microscope. The book not only presents interesting information, but also experiments that can be done at home.

An important distinguishing feature of this microscope: it is sold with a Levenhuk Discovery Flora and Fauna set that includes 24 slides with already prepared samples.
