The MAGUS Bio 230TL biological microscope is an essential instrument for a healthcare laboratory, diagnostic center, or research institute. This microscope is equipped with a trinocular head and a light source for transmitted-light observations (LED), and is suitable for analyzing semitransparent preparations and naturally transparent samples. In its basic configuration, observations are performed using the bright-field technique. With additional accessories, it is possible to conduct research using other microscopy techniques, such as dark-field, polarized-light, and phase-contrast observations.

Digital camera

MAGUS CHD10 is a camera with an HDMI interface. The camera is equipped with a 2 MP sensor and produces realistic Full HD images at a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.
This is a standalone camera that does not require a computer connection or the installation of additional software. The camera can be connected directly to a TV, monitor, or projector to display an image.
The HDMI interface enables fast and stable transfer from the camera to the external screen. Video is recorded at 60 fps.
The camera combines a high FPS rate with high HDMI bandwidth. As a result, videos are bright, with no freezing or dropped frames. At maximum resolution, the image is highly detailed, moving objects are visible without errors, and motion is displayed without delay.

Monitor

MAGUS MCD monitors work together with MAGUS CHD cameras to form a complete imaging system for MAGUS microscopes.
The camera is connected via its HDMI interface. The monitor displays images in real time. Its IPS LCD display has a wide viewing angle, high brightness, and good contrast. Even when viewing the screen from a wide angle, the image is not distorted. The screen size is 13.3''.
The monitor can be placed on a horizontal surface using a folding stand or mounted directly on a camera or tripod.

Optics

The optical tubes can rotate by 360°, making it possible to adjust the eyepiece position to suit the observer's height. Diopter adjustment is available on the left barrel. A vertical tube is provided for mounting a digital camera (not included).

This microscope uses infinity-corrected achromatic objectives, and the nosepiece can accommodate up to 5 objectives simultaneously. In the basic configuration, one slot remains free for adding a fifth objective. The nosepiece and its objectives face inward, allowing the user to see which objective is in the optical path. The microscope offers magnification ranging from 40x to 1000x, but the upper limit can be increased to 1500x, 1600x, or 2000x by using additional eyepieces.

Illumination

Thanks to the LED lamp, the color temperature does not change when the illumination intensity is adjusted. The 3 W LED light has a service life of 50000 hours and is powered from the AC mains.

The Abbe condenser has a slot for a dark-field slider or a phase-contrast slider. The sliders make switching between the various microscopy techniques much faster. The microscope is also equipped with a field diaphragm for setting Köhler illumination. The condenser is height-adjustable and can be centered.

Stage and focusing mechanism

Sample movement is smooth and precise. If necessary, the mechanical insert can be removed from the stage (for example, to perform a manual scan of the sample). It is also easier to work with a stage that has no positioning rack.

The coaxial focusing knobs are located on both sides of the microscope base, allowing the user to position their hands freely on the table. Coarse and fine focusing knobs are provided. Their mechanisms move smoothly, without requiring any effort. There is a tension adjustment knob for the coarse focusing mechanism and a coarse focus lock knob.

Additional accessories expand the capabilities of the MAGUS Bio 230TL microscope to suit specific applications. Accessories include eyepieces, objectives, dark-field and phase-contrast condensers, polarization devices, digital cameras, calibration slides, etc.
