Description

BIA PG500 electrodes for body analysis 10 sachets of 100 pcs.

Compatible with Italian and foreign professional models on the market
For some time many customers have been asking us to be able to save on the cost of BIA electrodes without sacrificing quality. Thanks to our experience in the field, we have selected excellent electrodes, registered as medical devices, which stand out for their high construction standard, allow repeatability of measurements and have a favorable price/performance ratio.

Applying an electrode to the skin, any electrode, introduces a variable in the BIA measurement. This is inevitable as an object is introduced that prevents the current from passing through regularly. If we used 10 electrodes of different brands we would get 10 different BIA sizes with the same patient.

The costs of the disposable electrode
Disposable electrodes are the consumables of the BIA. The consumable represents a cost for the professional and it is a permanent cost. Currently, those who use BIA equipment that still use disposable electrodes spend an average of 400 to 800 euros per year. So, in 10 years, which is the average life of a BIA, a Professional spends from 4,000 to 8,000 euros on material that he then throws away! Of so-called "consumable" material.

Lowering the cost of the BIA consumable is desirable as long as the quality level of the electrode remains high.
- The BIA PG 500 electrode with high technical characteristics produced by the world's leading company, by virtue of its low impedance, is particularly suitable for carrying out impedance analysis.
- The BIA PG 500 electrode uses a biocompatible solid-state medical adhesive gel adhered to high-purity aluminum foil that guarantees very high conductivity. In fact, carbon, PVC or non-woven surfaces lead to a significant increase in the impedance values of the BIA analysis, distorting the results.
- The BIA PG 500 electrode is engineered for stable and repeatable measurements and to achieve proper signal spreading.
- The BIA PG500 electrode is indicated in the execution of body composition analyses. The flexibility of the gel carrier material allows the electrodes to be positioned very easily. The gel used, supplied in a solid state and with great adhesive properties, makes the product repositionable. The BIA PG 500 electrode complies with Directive 93/42/EEC and is produced according to the procedures of the ISO 13485 certified Quality System.
- The BIA PG 500 electrode is packaged in heat-sealed paper and aluminum bags containing 100 electrodes, individually packaged with a leaflet included. It does not contain latex.

Why does the BIA PG 500 electrode cost less?
Some manufacturers of BIA instruments that still use disposable electrodes have decided to brand the electrodes with their own brand in order to retain their customers. In these cases, production is numerically limited and hence the high cost of branded electrodes compared to non-branded ones. The BIA PG500 electrode that we have chosen to market is produced by a company that produces millions of them and exports them to 100 countries around the world and for this reason allows savings on the purchase of consumables.

During the final stages of production, a generous layer of conductive gel is applied to the PG 500 electrodes and often overflows. This feature has always been considered by those who use PG500 electrodes as an added value, since in this way the electrode can be repositioned (on the same patient) without affecting the measurement. The copious amount of conductive gel does not prevent the electrodes from being removed from the holder, cannot alter the measurements, and does not affect the adhesiveness of the electrode.

PG500 pregelled disposable electrodes have been designed for performing body composition analyses. The flexibility of the gel carrier material allows the electrodes to be positioned very easily. The gel used, supplied in a solid state and with great adhesive properties, makes the product repositionable. They do not contain latex.
