Description

The KANGAROO ePump enteral feeding pump is a precision, easy-to-use pump that is easily programmed to infuse in continuous or intermittent mode and, when used with the KANGAROO ePump infusion and flush sets, can operate in infusion mode automatic.

User interface
• Intuitive user interface
• Large backlit LCD display
• Step-by-step instructions for programming and operation
• Series of “Stoplight” LEDs that provide a visual indication of pump status in both light and darkness

Ergonomics
• Silent operation
• Compact and aesthetically pleasing structure
• Use on a table or mount on the IV pole
• Easy loading of pump sets
• Transparent side door to protect the pump set
• Integrated handle for easy transport

Characteristics
• MISTIC (Magnetic Intelligent Set Type Identification Connector) identification system for power-only sets and feed-and-flush sets, which ensures that the pump user interface matches the pump set type
• Automatic continuous dispensing blocking system (Anti Free-Flow, AFF)
• Audible alarm indicating error conditions or conditions relating to pump set loading
• Specially designed construction eliminates the need for a drip chamber on the pump set
• Sensor technology that detects downstream and upstream flow conditions
• Capable of continuous feeding, intermittent feeding and flushing
• Automatic priming eliminates the need for longer manual priming
• Pause with restart functionality and Keep Tube Open (KTO) function
• Storing the history of the last 72 hours of feeding and washing

Assistance
• Serial I/O port for data retrieval and software updates
• Uses a pack of rechargeable, replaceable NiMH batteries for 15 hours of backup power
• Removable electrical cable

Diet
Use an ca adapter to connect to a wall outlet. The pump operates on 9 cc , 1.5 Amp.

Drums
A new, fully charged NiMH battery pack provides ≥ 15 hours of battery life at an infusion rate of 100 ml/h. Approximately 15 minutes before the battery is completely depleted, a low battery alarm sounds (see the “Low Battery” subsection in Section IX). When the battery runs out completely, the pump automatically turns off.
The battery recharges continuously, when the pump is connected to a wall socket. It takes eight hours to fully charge the battery.

Alarms
- System error
- Flow error
- Pump set disconnected error
- Pause error
- Rotor error
- Infusion error
- Washing error
- Low battery
Alarm Volume: A minimum of 70 dBA at 1 meter at maximum volume level

- Operating temperature: 10 – 40 °C, 75% relative humidity without condensation
- Storage temperature: 0 – 50 °C, 95% relative humidity non-condensing

- Type of protection against electrocution: Class II, internally powered equipment
