The F7299 electrocautery is reusable and allows the replacement of batteries and tips.
By inserting a sterile tip (F7298 series) into its front part, the reusable electrocautery becomes a self-powered system for the cauterization of small vessels and can be used instead of the electrosurgical/cable/clot forceps "kit".
The two alkaline batteries have a remarkable life and allow the tips to reach a temperature of 1.200. °C (2,200 °F).
Three tips are available: fine, broad and long.
The field of application is very broad and in particular it can be used in gynecology, orthopaedics, ENT, urology and dermatology clinics.
F7299 is however suitable for use in all those outpatient specialties where precise and quick cauterization is required.
F7299 is intended for outpatient use only as only the tips are sterile, while the barrel is supplied non-sterile.
The tip package includes a polyethylene protection, also sterile, which serves to cover the shaft during use.
