SterilDec Plus Instrument Disinfectant and Decontaminant
High-performance disinfectant decontaminant for disinfecting surgical instruments, medical instruments and beauty equipment.

SterilDec Plus is a high-performance decontaminant for treating surgical and medical instruments, with a disinfecting action and neutral pH, making it compatible with all materials, including aluminum.

SterilDec Plus decontaminant has a broad spectrum of action against bacteria (including MRSA, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), yeasts and mycobacteria. The product is also active against viruses (HIV, HBV, HCV).
Its efficacy has also been tested in the presence of organic material, such as blood, saliva and organic exudates.

Efficacy and Contact Time:
- Bacteria - 1 minute
- Yeasts - 5 minutes
- Viruses - 5 minutes
- Mycobacteria - 15 minutes

The synergistic action of the active ingredients, ammonium propionate and chlorhexidine, delivers optimal performance. Their efficacy is further accelerated by the presence of added active enzymes, specifically designed to attack human/animal serum and maximize penetration into the macroprotein structure (i.e. between the molecules of the soil).
As a neutral-pH product, it does not cause any type of oxidation and contains no corrosion inhibitors; it is safe for combinations of aluminum, tungsten, steel and other alloys, and does not cause metals to darken.

SterilDec Plus has undergone the following tests:
- EN13624 - Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of fungicidal or yeasticidal activity in the medical field
- EN13727 - Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity in the medical area
- EN14348 - Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of the mycobactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants in the medical field, including instrument disinfectants
- EN14476 - Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of virucidal activity in the medical area
- EN14561 - Quantitative carrier test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity for instruments used in the medical area
- EN14562 - Quantitative carrier test for the evaluation of fungicidal or fermentative activity for instruments used in the medical area
- EN16777 - Quantitative test on non-porous surfaces to assess, without mechanical action, the antiviral activity of chemical disinfectants used in the medical field
