HeartStart FRx - Semi-automatic external defibrillator
The HeartStart FRx defibrillator provides real-time guidance through clear turn-by-turn voice commands, a metronome, and voice-assisted CPR instructions to assist in the treatment of cases of suspected sudden cardiac arrest. With simple setup, clear voice prompts and a rugged design, the HeartStart FRx is designed to be used by users trained in basic life support techniques (BLS).
Resistance in the harshest environments:
At the scene of an incident with law enforcement, at youth sporting events or in the workplace, the FRx defibrillator is the ideal solution to support the treatment of cases of suspected sudden cardiac arrest in difficult environments and conditions. Lightweight, robust and reliable, it is able to withstand various types of stress, extreme temperatures, dust and humid environments.
Ease of use even on children:
The HeartStart FRx defibrillator has a pediatric activator that allows the same electrodes used for adults to be used on children. Simply insert the activator into the FRx defibrillator: the defibrillator automatically adjusts the intensity of the shock and provides instructions on electrode placement and cardiopulmonary resuscitation specific to the youngest patients, according to American Heart Association guidelines. All without the need to use different electrodes.
Ready for use at the right time thanks to minimal maintenance requirements:
The HeartStart FRx defibrillator is delivered virtually ready to use for rescue. Everything is already connected and positioned correctly. Simply pull the green tab to start the automatic test which confirms its suitability for use. After the first startup, FRx requires minimal maintenance. Performs a series of automatic tests, including daily, weekly and monthly self-tests, to verify electrode availability, as well as the functionality and calibration of circuits and systems. The battery has a useful life of up to four years.
Step-by-step instructions explaining exactly what to do:
The FRx defibrillator provides precise instructions. To deliver a shock, follow the electrode placement scheme and apply them to the patient's bare skin. The defibrillator checks whether a shock is necessary and, if so, prompts you to press the orange Shock button. If necessary, the device repeats the messages or reformulates them, to make them easier to understand. Flashing icons and a reference guide help in noisy environments.
Comprehensive CPR support for rescuers trained in basic resuscitation techniques:
If you need guidance to perform CPR, the FRx defibrillator provides voice prompts that explain what to do. The number, rate, and depth of compressions are shown, as well as how to perform artificial respiration, as recommended by the American Heart Association.² If the pediatric activator is inserted, appropriate instructions are provided for performing CPR on patients pediatric.
