INTROCAN SAFETY 3 W PUR 18G 1.3X32MM-EU
The Introcan Safety 3® safety cannula features a membrane positioned inside the catheter cone that ensures the system remains closed throughout its use. The membrane, which opens only when connected to a device with a Luer and/or Luer Lock connection, is multi-activated.

The device is designed to:

• minimize the risk of accidental needle sticks thanks to a passive safety system to protect the needle
• have greater stability of the catheter thanks to a design specifically designed to reduce movement within the vessel
• ensure the closure of the system avoiding possible contamination or spillage of blood or drugs

Directions:
Introcan Safety 3® is indicated for venous and arterial cannulation, drug infusion, blood pressure monitoring, transfusions, and blood sampling. The catheters (14G to 24G) can be used with injectors at a maximum pressure of 325 psi to infuse contrast media (viscous liquids) during diagnostic tests. The maximum flows are shown in the summary table. In these applications, use only Luer-Lock connections. Introcan Safety 3® is also indicated for subcutaneous infusion therapies.
The cannula needle is made up of:

- Triple sharpened needle with rear cutting edge with atraumatic passage of the skin thanks to the adequate tapering between the needle itself and the catheter
- Catheter made of highly histocompatible, flexible, and transparent material for immediate visibility of successful puncture. Polyurethane (PUR) cannula with 4 radiopaque lines that allow visualization of the device during diagnostic tests. The radiopaque bands are incorporated into the section to limit surface roughness and reduce thrombogenicity. The material of the radiopaque bands does not interact with infused drugs and/or blood.

- Catheter lubricated with medical grade silicone and finished with plasma beams to make insertion smoother
- High-flow catheter thanks to its large internal calibers. (See attached table for details.)
- Transparent reflux chamber equipped with a cap with a water-repellent membrane (1.2 microns)
- Elastomeric membrane / septum, placed inside the catheter cone, multi-activation, which blocks blood leakage during use of the device.
- Luer Lock terminal connection and catheter cone with color code for each gauge.
- Equipped with large, flexible, perforated wings to facilitate insertion of the device and ensure optimal attachment to the patient's skin. Color-coded.
- Equipped with a protection device mounted on the needle and located inside the base of the cannula before the plastic catheter
