The Introcan® Safety W from B. Braun is a single-port intravenous catheter made of PUR, radiopaque, with fixation wings. It features an automatically activated safety clip mechanism to prevent needle stick injuries to both operators and patients. The ergonomic design allows for one-handed insertion, and the triple-beveled bevel ensures minimal trauma during puncture. Introcan® is indicated for: - Establishment of safe peripheral venous or arterial access - Transfusions and infusions of peripherally applied infusion solutions - Repeated intravenous drug administration - Repeated blood sampling - Intraarterial blood pressure measurement.
