OFTYVIT eye drops have been developed to create a moisturizing, lubricating, chelating and protective ophthalmic hydrogel containing substances with an antioxidant and nourishing effect on ocular tissues.

The human eye may be exposed to stress due to excessive oxidative phenomena (smog, intense solar radiation, artificial lighting, use of computer screens, tablets, smartphones, etc.) or problems related to insufficient absorption or intake of nutritional elements (organic sulfur, vitamins A and E).

The tear film performs several functions and is therefore essential not only for ocular lubrication, but is also important for the antioxidant and nourishing function of the ocular surface and for ensuring optimal vision.

When turnover is impaired or production is low, these capabilities are greatly reduced, leaving the ocular surface exposed to the harmful activity of free radicals.

OFTYVIT's patented formulation was developed to ensure optimal lubrication of the ocular surface and to provide an antioxidant and nourishing action not only on the surface but also on the internal tissues of the eye.

Carboxymethylcellulose produces a hydrogel that is highly compatible with the ocular mucosa and ensures effective, long-lasting bioadhesion on the ocular surface, with a beneficial lubricating and moisturizing effect.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) occurs naturally and in the human body as a form of biologically active sulfur and provides an antioxidant and nourishing effect, but that is not all.

MSM improves cell membrane permeability, promoting the delivery of nutrients and vitamins into the eye, particularly vitamins A and E, which are present in the formulation.

Vitamin A, is essential for the development of ocular epithelial tissue and for proper vision, including at night; vitamin E, prevents the oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are essential for cellular metabolism.

The synergistic combination of the components may offer a new way to protect against oxidative damage and prevent ocular aging processes, which are responsible for the onset of numerous eye disorders and a decline in visual quality with advancing age.

Directions for use:
Instill 1-2 drops into the lower conjunctival fornix of the eye, gently squeezing the body of the bottle. It is advisable to repeat the procedure 2-4 or more times a day.
