MEDIHONEY HCS is a hybrid device that combines colloidal hydrogel (CMC) technology with ANTIBACTERIAL (63%) MEDIHONEY MEDICAL HONEY and a patented super absorbent polymer (SAP) for increased fluid handling capacity.
The bandage was designed for dry and/or slightly exuding wounds; CMC/SAP combined with MEDIHONEY forms a hydrophilic gel that blocks the humidity of the lesion in the bandage itself, modulating maceration. MEDIHONEY HCS, formulated in this way, is hydrating, soothing and refreshing.
The degree of transpiration is: MVTR= 595 (g/sqm/24 h). (MVTR= Moisture vapor transmission rate)
It does not contain glycerin.
The dressing is waterproof.
Sterile.
Available with both ADHESIVE and NON-ADHESIVE edges. There
MEDIHONEY HCS version with ADHESIVE edge does not require the application of a secondary dressing.
