MAGUS Bio 250BL Biological Microscope

The MAGUS Bio 250BL microscope can be used for laboratory work, scientific research and teaching. It is designed to observe samples in thin sections and smears of biological materials in transmitted light. The main observation method is brightfield microscopy, but it is also possible to use darkfield observation techniques, with phase contrast or polarized light (with the use of additional accessories).

Optical

The microscope is sold accompanied by 4 infinitely planachromatic objectives, which reproduce images rich in detail and with minimal aberrations. The objectives are housed on a revolver nosepiece, which is designed to accommodate up to 5 objectives at the same time. One of the slots on the revolver remains free. This allows a fifth objective lens to be installed to achieve an additional magnification factor within the available magnification range. The nosepiece is oriented towards the inside of the instrument.

The position of the microscope head is comfortable even for prolonged work sessions. The height of the eyepieces can be adjusted by rotating the optical tubes 360°. On the left optical tube there is a diopter adjustment ring and a digital camera (not included) can be accommodated.

The magnification range of this microscope is from 40x to 1000x. The upper limit can be raised by adding additional eyepieces.

Lighting

The lights at LED They allow you to vary the brightness without changing the color temperature. Bulbs LED they have a life cycle of 50,000 hours and a power of 3 W. The lighting requires a 220 V power supply.

The lighting system also includes an Abbe condenser with aperture diaphragm and slider slot. A darkfield slider or a phase contrast slider can be inserted into this slot. This will allow you to switch between observation methods more quickly. The microscope is also equipped with a field diaphragm. Therefore, you can configure Köhler lighting.

Stage and focusing mechanism

The main mechanical feature of the microscope is the stage without a positioning rack. This coffee table is easy to use and its handling mechanism is not bulky. The sample is moved through the use of a removable mechanical insert.

The focus knobs are located at the base of the microscope, where they are most comfortable to use. In fact, it will not be necessary to keep the arms in mid-air to adjust the sharpness and it will therefore be possible to assume a more relaxed position during observations. The coarse focusing mechanism is equipped with a fixing knob, and the tension of the coarse screw can be adjusted. There is also a fine focus knob. The knobs are coaxial and positioned on either side of the microscope base.

Fixings

If the maximum magnification factor of the microscope in its basic configuration is insufficient, it can be increased by installing additional accessories. Various options are available for the MAGUS Bio 250BL microscope, including eyepieces and objectives, equipment for darkfield observations, with phase contrast or polarized light, as well as digital cameras and calibration slides.
