ASKINA TRACHEA
Askina Trachea is a non-adhesive, sterile, conformal hydrocellular dressing for tracheostomies. It consists of a polyurethane foam with a high absorption capacity in contact with the lesion and an outer layer consisting of a polyurethane film, permeable to vapour and resistant to water and bacteria. The particular conformation allows the skin to be protected from the resistance exerted by the tracheostomy cannulas.

The choice of the elements of the two layers that make up the dressing allows you to:
• Protect the lesion from shear forces
• Reduce external pressure
• Manage excess exudate
• Maintain the right moist environment, preventing the skin from macerating under the dressing
• Easy removal/replacement
Askina Trachea is shaped by tracheostomy and consists of a bilaminar structure:
1. Layer in contact with the lesion made of hydrophilic absorbent polyurethane foam
2. Outer layer made of polyurethane film impermeable to liquids and bacteria and gas permeable
