Description

Color backlit digital CMOS camera. The sensor is characterized by low noise and increased light sensitivity (462 mV at 1/30 s). The camera produces detailed and bright images even in low light conditions. Used for darkfield or lightfield studies with 4x, 10x and 20x objectives. The MAGUS CDF70 camera helps to achieve a high level of detail even when observing moving objects.

The maximum resolution of the camera is 5440x3648 px. At this resolution, the frame rate is 20 fps. You can set lower resolutions with higher frame rates: 2736x1824 px (48 fps) or 1824x1216 px (58 fps). With these resolutions and frequencies, the camera is used to observe moving objects. The transition between frames is smooth, with no lag, thus making it easy to observe and view an object to the audience.

The MAGUS CDF70 camera is installed on the trinocular tube or optical tube of a microscope instead of the eyepiece. In both cases, you need a C-mount adapter of the right diameter, as well as adapter rings for installation on the eyepiece tube. The camera installed on the microscope connects to a computer via a USB 3.0 port with a data transfer rate of 5 Gbps.

Before you begin, you must install the MAGUS View drivers and software on your computer, which are included in the package. The software is required for all camera functions: viewing images on a monitor, capturing photos and videos, processing, etc. You must calibrate the program for each objective using a calibration slide (optional accessory).

Key features:

  • Back-illuminated CMOS sensor, low signal-to-noise ratio, and high light sensitivity
  • Light and dark observation using 4x, 10x and 20x magnification objectives
