- Disarm once charged, the I-PAD disarms itself if:


• the rhythm of the patient's heart changes in a non-traumatic rhythmic pattern


• the discharge button is not pressed within 15 seconds after the I-PAD is charged


• The ON/OFF button is pressed to turn off the I-PAD


• Defibrillator pads are removed from the patient


• The plate connector is disconnected from the I-PAD
