HeartStart FRx - Semi-Automatic External Defibrillator
The HeartStart FRx defibrillator provides real-time guidance through clear turn-by-turn voice commands, a metronome, and voice instructions for CPR to help treat suspected sudden cardiac arrest. With simple setup, clear voice prompts, and a robust design, the HeartStart FRx is designed to be used by users trained in basic resuscitation techniques (BLS).
Durability in the harshest environments:
Whether at the scene of an incident with law enforcement, at youth sporting events or in the workplace, the FRx defibrillator is the ideal solution to support the treatment of suspected sudden cardiac arrest cases in harsh environments and conditions. Lightweight, robust and reliable, it can withstand various types of stress, extreme temperatures, dust and humid environments.
Ease of use even on children:
The HeartStart FRx defibrillator has a pediatric activator that allows the same electrodes to be used on children as for adults. Simply insert the activator into the FRx defibrillator, and the defibrillator automatically adjusts the intensity of the shock and provides electrode placement and CPR instructions specifically for younger patients, according to American Heart Association guidelines. All without the need to use different electrodes.
Ready for use at the right time thanks to minimal maintenance requirements:
The HeartStart FRx defibrillator is supplied virtually ready to use for rescue. Everything is already connected and positioned correctly. Simply pull the green tab to start the automatic test that confirms its suitability for use. After the first start-up, FRx requires minimal maintenance. It performs a variety of automated tests, including daily, weekly, and monthly self-tests, to verify electrode availability, as well as the functionality and calibration of circuits and systems. The battery has a service life of up to four years.
Step-by-step instructions explaining exactly what to do:
The FRx defibrillator provides precise instructions. To deliver a shock, follow the electrode placement chart and apply them to the patient's bare skin. The defibrillator checks if a shock is necessary and, if so, prompts you to press the orange shock button. If necessary, the device repeats the messages or rephrases them to make them easier to understand. Flashing icons and a reference guide help in noisy environments.
Comprehensive CPR support for rescuers trained in basic resuscitation techniques:
If guidance is needed to perform CPR, the FRx defibrillator provides voice instructions explaining what to do. The number, frequency, and depth of compressions are indicated, as well as how to perform artificial respiration, according to the recommendations of the American Heart Association.² If the pediatric activator is inserted, appropriate instructions are provided for performing CPR on pediatric patients.
Therapy:
Peak current for adult defibrillation: 32 A (150 J nominal) with a 50 ohm load. Pediatric Defibrillation (with optional pediatric activator installed): 19 A (50 J nominal) with a 50 ohm load.
