Face masks are designed for all patients who breathe primarily through their mouths. The new Amara View by Philips Respironics has a design without a front support, which allows a reduced structure similar to that of a nasal mask, and leaves the eye-forehead area totally free, thus making it the ideal mask for those who use glasses or like to read or watch TV before bedtime.

The pad is molded from silicone.

Design that leaves you free to see
The design of this goggle allows for the widest possible freedom of vision. This face mask is supported by the strong seal that the pad has against the nose and mouth, with the added support provided by a headgear that extends from the front of the mask to the top of the head. Unlike other full face masks, it does not need a front support to stabilize the mask.

Pad placed under the nose
A rectangular hole has been placed at the top of the face pad. This opening for the nostrils is intended to allow the necessary pressure on the nose without irritating the skin. Gently slide your nose over the nostrils opening to find the right pad size. Note: The user should keep the nose above the opening for the nostrils, and not let it slip through the slit. If the nose is not positioned correctly above the opening, CPAP therapy is compromised.

Lightweight materials
To promote a minimalist design, the Amara View Full Face CPAP Mask with headgear is made of lightweight materials. The soft silicone face pad attaches directly onto a lightweight frame, and also covers only the nostrils and mouth. Both the frame and face pad do not extend beyond the base of the nose, preventing the user from supporting the weight of the mask on the bridge of the nose. Instead, the headgear evenly distributes the weight of the mask to help reduce the number of pressure points. The headgear should fit comfortably, so be careful not to overtighten it.
