MAGUS CLM cameras are designed for mounting on a microscope and recording using fluorescence and darkfield techniques. The CLM50 is suitable for working with 60x and 100x lenses. Its 1.7 MP sensor produces an image of 1600x1100 px. The frame rate is 33 fps. The camera is equipped with a special cooling element that prevents the sensor from overheating and maintains high image quality. The global shutter instantly captures and forms an image without distortion or trail, even if the sample is moving. The camera is equipped with a USB interface 3.0. It transfers data at high speed to a computer, so the image does not lose quality when viewed on an external screen. The camera is intended for use in a professional environment or for university-level education.
The camera is designed on the basis of Exmor' SONY colour CMOS sensor. These sensors use backlight technology to improve light sensitivity. The CLM50 combines a large 1.1-inch sensor with a large 9x9 μm pixel to produce a light sensitivity of 4910 mV at 1/30 s. The camera generates a color image, which can be useful when conducting studies related to the color of the sample.
The camera is equipped with a special cooling module - a Peltier element. During prolonged use, the sensor heats up and creates thermal noise in the image. The Peltier element cools the sensor to 42°C below ambient temperature. As a result, the image remains sharp and the camera can shoot without interference, even at long shutter speeds.
Another advantage of this model is the global shutter. It reads the signal from all pixels at once and instantly captures a realistic image without distortion, even if the object is moving.
The camera comes with software. It allows you to take photos and videos, edit the results and measure the linear and angular dimensions of an object and its structures. The camera is mounted to the trinocular tube of the microscope using a C-mount adapter.
