The MAGUS Bio 240B educational microscope is designed for professional training. Thanks to it, it is possible to make observations in transmitted light via the brightfield method and study translucent and transparent biological samples. The microscope is equipped with a coded nosepiece to accommodate four objectives with intelligent illumination. The brightness is adjustable for each lens. The device is compact and convenient to move and store.
The head is designed to accommodate two eyepieces and adopts the infinite optical system. The cylinder head tubes can rotate completely on their own axis and the eye relief is adjusted according to the user's height. The microscope has 2 standard 10x/20 mm eyepieces. The set also includes rubber eyecups for spectacle wearers: the eyecups act as a layer between the spectacle lenses and the eyepieces, as well as protecting the lenses from abrasions, scratches and damage. Each tube is equipped with a diopter adjustment ring: you can adjust the focus to suit the user's vision. This feature will be especially useful for researchers with different eyesight since each eyepiece can be adjusted independently. If there is a need to connect a digital camera to the microscope, it is possible to place it on one of the two tubes after removing an eyepiece.
The nosepiece has slots for four lenses. The nosepiece is oriented inwards. The researcher has the used lens in front of him, while the other lenses are at a certain distance. The advantage of this setting is the large working area available to the user. When changing lenses, the light intensity normally fluctuates, creating strain and eye strain. To avoid this unpleasant effect, the MAGUS Bio 240B microscope is equipped with an intelligent light control system: the user adjusts the brightness of each objective once, and when the objectives are changed, the light changes automatically. By doing so, the user does not have to waste time adjusting the brightness when changing each lens.
The microscope is equipped with a focusing system with coaxially positioned fine and coarse adjustment knobs. They are positioned at the bottom of the body and on the sides of the mount, allowing the user a comfortable position when checking the focus. On the left, the coarse focus handle allows you to quickly adjust the image after changing lenses. On the right, a ring allows you to adjust the stiffness of the coarse focus path to suit your needs.
The stage is equipped with a strap mechanism, which allows the sample to be moved smoothly under the objectives.
The Abbe capacitor is fixed under the stage as well as centered and is factory preset in the correct vertical position. The user does not have to spend time and effort installing and configuring the capacitor. The capacitor has a numerical aperture of 1.25. The handle is used to adjust the iris diaphragm. The magnification values of the objective are marked in color on the condenser. To produce the image with great contrast, you need to set the position of the handle according to the lens you are using.
The microscope operates in transmitted light. A 3W LED light is installed as an illuminator. The colour temperature can be adjusted from 3000 K to 7000 K, thus adjusting the lighting to the characteristics of the object being studied. The illuminator has a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
Another positive feature of this model is the LCD screen, which displays the operating parameters: magnification of the active lens, the temperature of the illumination and the operating mode.
You can move the microscope by means of the side handles. The device is designed so that the cable and power adapter can be hidden on the back of the body. The device therefore has a pleasant aesthetic and is practical to transport and store.
