The QuickProfile Test (Canine Ehrlichia- AB) is a rapid immunochromatographic test used for the qualitative detection of antibodies in the blood, serum or plasma of dogs.

ASSAY TIME: 5~10 minutes

SAMPLE: serum, plasma or whole blood

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The lateral flow immunochromatographic assay has a test window. The test window has a T-zone (test) and C-zone (control) that are invisible before specimen is added. When the specimen is applied to the well, the liquid flows laterally onto the surface of the test strip. If there is sufficient presence of antibodies in the sample, a visible band will appear in the T zone. Band C, which acts as a procedural control, should always appear after a sample has been applied and indicates a valid result.

KIT COMPONENTS
- 10 foil pouches, each containing a cassette, pipette and desiccant
- 10 tubes of thinner
- 10 centrifuge tubes
- 1 x Instruction manual

SAMPLE PREPARATION
For serum or plasma sample
Centrifuge the dog's blood sample to obtain serum or plasma. Use fresh or stored whole blood (2-8 °C within 5 days).
Note: It is recommended to use serum or plasma to increase the sensitivity of the test.

ANALYSIS PROCEDURE
Open the foil pouch and remove the test cassette and place it on a clean, flat surface
Use the pipette provided to transfer 2 drops of the sample (serum, plasma, or whole blood) to the diluent tube and mix carefully.
Transfer 2-3 drops of the sample obtained into the well of the test cassette.
Make sure that no air bubbles form inside the pipette when performing the operation.
Interpret the results within 5-10 minutes. After 10 minutes the results are not accurate.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
Positive test: Two lines are evident in the reaction field of the cassette (both C and T line).
Negative test: Only one line is evident in field (C).
Invalid test: If no control line (C) appears after the test, the result is considered invalid. It is not possible to take into account the presence or absence of the line (T). In this case, it is possible that the test procedure was not followed correctly or a test was used beyond the expiration date: in this case, repeat the test with another package.

The presence of the line near the letter (C) indicates the control line and indicates the correct execution of the test.
The line (C) is not a reference line and can have a different intensity than the line (T).

TEST STORAGE
Store tests at room temperature (4 ~ 30°C). Do not refrigerate.
Do not store in direct sunlight. The test is valid until the expiry date on the packaging.
