VeinSpy is a portable device that facilitates vein visualization in adult, pediatric, geriatric, obese and dark-skinned patients with difficult venous access.

It is based on transillumination technology: light beams from a circular LED array penetrate the skin and act as a light source to provide deep illumination of the subcutaneous tissues.
Veins in the illuminated area absorb the light and stand out as dark lines.

The VeinSpy device consists of two sets of colored LEDs: one set emits orange light, optimal for superficial veins, and the other emits red light to find deeper veins.

How to use VeinSpy
1- Clean the patient’s skin area with an alcohol-soaked swab
2- Insert VeinSpy into the disposable sheath and switch on the device.
3- Move VeinSpy sideways and forward to obtain a clear view of the specific vein
4- After visualizing the vein, move the device so that the needle can be inserted easily
5- Gently press VeinSpy against the vein, then insert the needle into the vein through the open end of VeinSpy
