OSTEO SUPPLEMENT is a dietary supplement containing Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Manganese, Copper, Boron, Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2, intended for men and women who wish to maintain strong bones and healthy teeth over time, so they can enjoy an active life to the fullest, even in later life. Calcium is necessary for the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth.
Vitamin D and magnesium contribute to the maintenance of healthy teeth and, together with Vitamin K, Zinc and Manganese, contribute to the maintenance of healthy bones.
Vitamin D helps reduce the risk of falling associated with postural instability and muscle weakness**. Calcium and vitamin D help reduce bone mineral loss in postmenopausal women***.
Low bone mineral density is a risk factor for osteoporotic fractures. Copper also contributes to the maintenance of normal connective tissues.
** The beneficial effect is observed with a total daily intake (diet + supplementation) of at least 20 mcg of vitamin D, and supplementation must provide at least 15 mcg of vitamin D per daily dose (3 tablets per day). Falls are a risk factor for bone fractures among men and women over 60 years of age.
*** The beneficial effect is observed with a total daily intake (diet + supplementation) of at least 1200 mg of calcium and 20 mcg of vitamin D, and supplementation must provide at least 400 mg of calcium and 15 mcg of vitamin D per daily dose (3 tablets per day).
