This dark-field slider (plate) is suitable for MAGUS microscopes. It is designed for examining transparent samples that have not been treated with dyes and can only be observed using dark-field microscopy techniques. The slider has two holes: one with an integrated aperture for use with dark-field techniques, and the other completely open for bright-field techniques. Thanks to its design, you can quickly switch from one microscopy technique to another.

The MAGUS DFS1 slider fits into the slot in the Abbe condenser. The plate can only be used with dry objectives (without oil immersion) and with an aperture below 0.9. Ideally, the coverslip should be less than 0.17 mm thick, with a slide no thicker than 1.2 mm. Observing these conditions will maximize image contrast.
