The Flovac disposable containers are used to collect aspirated body fluids and have been designed and manufactured for “high-flow and high-vacuum” applications (EN ISO 10079-3 standard).

This system combines simplicity and ease of use, ensuring the highest level of protection against contamination for operators, suction equipment and the environment, thanks to state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and highly reliable materials.

LINER version: consisting of a reusable rigid support container and a disposable collection system comprising a bag hermetically sealed to the lid.

This bag must be paired with the corresponding reusable and autoclavable rigid PC support cup Flovac.

The Flovac system, developed through twenty years of experience in manufacturing disposable devices for collecting aspirated fluids, is distinguished above all by its special GORE Medical Membrane hydrophobic filter.

In addition to protecting the equipment and/or the vacuum-generating system from contamination, this filter also acts as an overflow valve, stopping suction when the specified maximum fill level is reached.

All connection ports are located on the lid and are easy to identify and cannot be confused with one another: the “VACUUM” port connects to the suction system; the “PATIENT” port is fitted with a removable right-angle reducing connector for aspirating fluids that may also contain bone fragments; and the “TANDEM” port connects two or more containers in series to increase collection capacity.

Two caps fitted to the lid allow the “PATIENT” and “TANDEM” ports to be sealed hermetically. A handle, also integrated into the lid, facilitates removal from the support vessel and makes the container easier to transport.

The hermetic seal of the lid makes disposal particularly hygienic, simple and safe, both for the patient and for the personnel responsible for removing and replacing the device. 

MEMBRANE FILTER
The GORE Medical Membrane filter provides the best solution for hygiene and safety for patients and operators in surgical suction. In addition to stopping suction when the maximum permitted level is reached, the membrane filter protects the hospital vacuum system from bacteria with virtually complete efficiency.
