Prontosan Wound Gel X by B. BRAUN is an advanced gel for cleansing and moisturizing chronic wounds. Formulated with polyhexanide (PHMB) and propyl betaine, it ensures prolonged cleansing and decontamination of the wound bed between dressing changes.

The unique combination of antimicrobial substances and surfactants, such as betaine, makes Prontosan Wound Gel X ideal for preventing bacterial biofilm formation. Clinical tests demonstrate that it acts as an effective barrier, reducing microbial penetration through the dressing.

The high-density gel formulation ensures stability on the wound bed and facilitates application thanks to its consistency. In addition, it helps moisturize necrotic tissue and fibrin, supporting autolytic processes.

Indications for use:
- Infected and non-infected acute wounds: lacerations, abrasions, cut wounds (apply after suturing if indicated)
- Infected and non-infected chronic wounds: including complex, necrotic and cavity wounds
- Thermal, chemical and post-radiotherapy burns: superficial and deep
- Post-surgical wounds
- Frostbite injuries
