The evoStim E therapeutic unit is a therapeutic device intended for perineal re-education through intravaginal electrostimulation and electromyographic biofeedback.

It allows for passive perineal treatments (with 1 electrostimulation channel), active perineal recovery (with 1 biofeedback channel) and muscular-cognitive perineal re-education (through evoked stimulation).

It is intended for both professional use and personal, direct use by the patient.

Intracavitary biofeedback is of the EMG type, and can be administered either perineally (with a vaginal or anal probe) or transcutaneously (with adhesive electrodes).

Since the acquired EMG signal is of the order of a few μV, EMG biofeedback also requires the application of a transcutaneous reference electrode, which is essential for the suppression of electrical interference.

The visual feedback, on the display, consists of the illumination of a number of concentric circles proportional to the pressure exerted on the probe balloon by the perineal muscles, during a voluntary contraction.

Thanks to the full-scale self-calibration feature, administering biofeedback programs is relatively simple with the evoStim E unit.
