Zen-O was designed to make molecular sieve replacement easy. The filter block can be replaced directly using simple tools in under 5 minutes, saving time and money.

Zen-O uses advanced technology to adjust the amount of oxygen in response to the patient’s respiratory rate and automatically increase it when the patient needs more, such as when walking uphill.

Chronic disorders and conditions

COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). COPD is a progressive disease in which damage to the alveoli prevents enough oxygen from passing into the blood. The term “progressive” means that the condition tends to worsen over time.
Severe heart failure. In this condition, the heart is unable to pump enough oxygen-rich blood to meet the body’s needs.
Cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is an inherited disease of the exocrine glands, including those that produce mucus and sweat. In people with cystic fibrosis, the airways fill with thick, sticky mucus, which encourages bacterial growth and causes severe, recurrent lung infections. Over time, these infections can seriously damage the lungs.
Sleep-related respiratory disorders that cause oxygen levels to drop during sleep, such as sleep apnea.
Cluster headache. It is an extremely painful primary neurovascular headache. It is periodic, with active phases alternating with periods of spontaneous remission. These active phases are called “clusters.”

Acute disorders and conditions

Severe pneumonia. Pneumonia is an infection of one or both lungs. If severe, it causes deep inflammation of the alveoli, which are then unable to exchange enough oxygen with the blood.
Severe asthma attacks. Asthma is a lung condition that inflames and narrows the bronchi. Most people with asthma, including many children, can manage their symptoms safely; however, if asthma attacks are severe, the patient may need to be hospitalized for oxygen therapy.
Respiratory distress syndrome or bronchopulmonary dysplasia in premature infants. Premature infants may suffer from one or both of these serious lung diseases. As part of their treatment, they may receive oxygen through a ventilator or a continuous positive airway pressure nasal mask, or through a nasal cannula.
