YOXA Orosoluble supplement 30 stick pack

The new formulation of YOXA ORODISPERSIBLE is a powder to be dissolved directly on the tongue. This allows for simpler, faster and more pleasant intake by the patient, compared to the previous granulated formulation which requires water and waiting for the suspension to dissolve.

Due to the frequent antibiotic treatments that patients have to do from an early age and also due to the intestinal problems caused by the disease itself, subjects with Cystic Fibrosis have a less rich intestinal microbiota.

In this context, Oxalobacter Formigenes, a microorganism responsible exclusively for the metabolism of oxalates, is often lacking, and as a consequence patients may face a 70 times higher risk than a healthy subject of developing calcium oxalate urolithiasis. Oxalic acid also has a strong pro-inflammatory action in the intestine.

Yoxa, granulated in sachets, is a symbiotic supplement based on live lactic acid bacteria, formulated to make up for the lack of the microorganism Oxalobacter Formigenes.

5 different bacterial strains are contained in Yoxa, all selected for their peculiar ability to metabolize oxalates and for an intrinsic anti-inflammatory action.
