MAGUS Metal D630 digital metallographic microscope BD LCD for bright field, dark field and polarization microscopy techniques. Powerful halogen illumination produces a quality image with any objective lens and microscopy method. The microscope is designed for quality control and microstructure study of semiconductor materials, metals and opaque objects. It is used to conduct research at manufacturing plants, research center laboratories and university departments.

Digital camera

MAGUS CHD40 is an HDMI digital camera with three video interfaces and automatic switching between Full HD and 4K based on the monitor resolution.
The camera features an 8 MP sensor and produces lifelike images at 4K resolution (3840x2160 px) when connected via HDMI or USB 3.0. When connected via Wi-Fi, the image quality is Full HD (1920x1080 px).
The camera uses an HDMI interface to connect directly to a TV, monitor or projector. This way, the camera works independently without a connection to a PC. The HDMI interface enables fast and stable transfer speed from the camera to the external display. You can connect the camera to a PC via Wi-Fi or USB 3.0. The video is recorded at 30 fps.
The camera combines high FPS speed and high HDMI bandwidth. Videos are therefore brilliant without any blocks or jumps between frames. At maximum resolution, the image is very detailed, moving objects are visible without errors and the moving object is displayed without delays.

Monitor

The MAGUS MCD40 monitor is designed to use a MAGUS microscope display system. It is connected to a camera mounted on the microscope to display images in real time. It supports cameras with HDMI connection and 4K resolution. The screen is 13.3 inches. The IPS matrix provides bright images with wide viewing angles. When looking at the display from the side, the color reproduction is not distorted. You can place the display on a table or shelf using a foldable stand or install it directly on the camera or microscope base.

Optics

The trinocular head is equipped with a trinocular tube in which the digital camera (not included) is mounted. The light beam can be directed to the eyepiece or the trinocular tube by means of a light path selection knob on the camera/eyepiece. The trinocular head is inclined at 30° for easy observation. The diopter adjustment ring is located on the left optical tube.

Once the objectives included in the kit are mounted on the nosepiece, a slot for an additional objective will be available. All the objectives in the base are planachromatic, with a long working distance, suitable for bright and dark field microscopy.

Lighting

For dark field observations, the microscope features a higher power halogen lamp (50 W). In addition, the reflected light illumination system includes: a set of filters, field and aperture diaphragms, a dark field device, an integrated analyzer and a removable polarizer. The apertures and the light source can be centered. The Köhler illumination method can be configured.

Stage and focusing mechanism

The microscope has an interestingly designed stand and focusing mechanism, and the sample being analyzed can be of any size and height. It is also characterized by its small size, which allows the microscope to be placed on surfaces with a maximum height of 40 cm. The coarse and fine focusing knobs are coaxial and located on both sides of the microscope body. The coarse tension adjustment can also be adjusted.
