The Ermenrich NetGeeks NP60 combines the functionality of a cable tester, cable length meter, and optical multimeter, making it a great choice for installing, testing, and maintaining twisted pair cable networks, including those used for high-speed Internet connections. It is a perfect tool for home use and is also in high demand among professionals.
In its basic test mode, the tool can check the condition of a wired network. The test will quickly indicate the presence of open circuits, twisted pairs or short circuits. If necessary, the quality of the Ethernet connectors of twisted pair cables can be tested. The PoE test not only measures voltage, but also identifies the type of PSE and detects the midspan/endspan connection. The port flashing function allows you to precisely locate the port of the network switch or router to which the cable under test is connected.
In optical potentiometer mode, the tester supports 6 wavelengths and can measure both relative and absolute optical power. The ability to set a reference level for power simplifies the measurement procedure. In addition, there is a VFL function, which allows you to locate faults along the optical fiber. In length meter mode, you can measure cables up to 200 meters long.
The receiver can be used as a non-contact high voltage detector (NCV function) and is equipped with a flashlight to illuminate dark areas. The transmitter and receiver are powered by a rechargeable battery.
