AuraGain meets 3 essential requirements for airway management, combining gastric access and the option of intubation in a single-use device with an anatomical curvature that facilitates rapid establishment of a secure airway.
- Rapid placement
The soft curvature of AuraGain, preformed to follow the anatomy of the human airway, ensures rapid placement and long-term performance. AuraGain's thin, soft cuff is designed to provide a high sealing pressure.
- Gastric management
The integrated gastric access channel is designed to reduce friction as the gastric tube passes through, to allow management of gastric contents
and prevent gastric insufflation.
- Option of intubation
AuraGain offers an additional safety feature: the option of intubation. This means that in the event of an unexpectedly difficult airway or in
CI-CV situations (“cannot intubate - cannot ventilate”), where the ultimate goal is to intubate the patient, AuraGain can be used as a direct channel for endotracheal intubation assisted by a flexible videoscope.
