Levenhuk Discovery Basics CN5 Insect Jar is a small, transparent-walled jar equipped with two magnifying glasses: one fixed on the lid and one that swivels, mounted on pins. You can easily and safely analyze the tiny creatures of the world around you. The jar can accommodate an insect, a spider, a gnat, and even a fish – just don't forget to fill it with water first, of course. Once the jar is closed, you can study the sample from any angle. You can also place twigs, algae, minerals, and many other inanimate objects in the jar.

The lenses offer magnifications of 3x and 8x: the study objects can therefore be observed at different sizes. The jar is made of plastic, so there is no risk of breaking in the event of accidental falls.
