Magnetofix devices are low-frequency magnetotherapy units designed and manufactured for outpatient and home use.

The operating frequency of the Magnetofix 30 varies from 2 to 100 Hz; the maximum magnetic field is 30 Gauss.

The main effects of low-frequency magnetic fields are: anti-edematous / analgesic / anti-inflammatory / regenerative. They are used mainly in: Traumatology: pseudoarthrosis and delayed fracture healing, fractures at risk of pseudoarthrosis, soft-tissue injuries (contusions, sprains, burns, etc.), regional algodystrophy.

Rheumatology: degenerative rheumatic diseases, inflammatory rheumatic diseases, fibromyalgia-related rheumatic diseases, aseptic bone necrosis.
Angiology: peripheral arterial diseases, wounds and ulcers.
Neurology: muscle-tension headaches, postherpetic neuralgia.
Dermatology: psoriasis, ichthyosis.
Endocrinology: senile and postmenopausal osteoporosis.

The magnetic field produced is pulsed. When the predetermined field intensity is reached, the field is rapidly cancelled. This rapid change in the field induces electromotive forces in the patient, which generate the stimulating currents.

The unit incorporates a square-wave electric current generator with a frequency variable from 2 to 100 Hz and a variable pulse duration to obtain a predetermined field intensity, selectable from 5 to 30 Gauss.

As mentioned, the magnetic field intensity is achieved by appropriately modulating the activation time of the circuit that supplies current to the transducer. This current is monitored by a supervisory circuit controlled by an electronic microcontroller, which ensures its accuracy.

The unit incorporates an audible and visual magnetic-field detector.

Two flat transducers can be connected to the unit simultaneously. In this case, naturally, the field generated by each individual transducer is approximately half of the total field.

The supplied transducers are made of flexible material for more comfortable application. Slots are provided on the transducers for fastening with elastic straps.
