According to the Guidelines for a Healthy and Correct Diet (INRAN), the recommended daily intake of fiber is around 30 grams, a higher amount than what is usually taken in Italy. To ensure an adequate intake of fiber, it is important to increase the amount of cereals, legumes, vegetables and fruit and it is possible to complete the quota with a food supplement. Dietary fiber in itself has no nutritional or energy value but is equally very important for the regulation of various physiological functions in the body. Insoluble fiber (cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin) acts mainly on the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, while soluble fiber (pectins, gums and mucilage) regulates the absorption of certain nutrients (e.g. sugars and fats) by reducing and slowing it down, thus contributing to the control of blood glucose and cholesterol levels.

NEOPSILLIO is a dietary supplement based on the pericarp of psyllium seeds (Plantago psyllium L.). Psyllium, whose seeds are rich in fiber, has been used for thousands of years to promote the regularity of intestinal transit, contributing to the normal volume and consistency of the stool; it has an emollient and soothing action on the digestive system. It intervenes in the modulation of nutrient absorption and promotes the correct metabolism of lipids and carbohydrates. Psyllium fiber also has a prebiotic effect. NEOPSILLIUM is non-irritating since it does not contain the whole psyllium seed, but only the pericarp.

Pericarp of powdered psyllium seeds of which: 4 g
Fiber 4 g

Composition:
- Pericarp of pulverized psyllium seeds (Plantago psyllium L.). Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. - Anti-caking agent: Vegetable magnesium stearate.

Caution of use:
The product should be ingested at least two hours after taking any medication. However, seek medical advice.
