It also features A & D's IHB (Irregular HeartBeat Indicator), launched by A & D in 2001 and now available across our entire range of blood pressure monitors. This innovative A & D technology is now used worldwide to assist in detecting arrhythmias, including Afib (or atrial fibrillation).

The cuff fastening technology, “Torque Controlled Belt Drive Method” (TCBM), provides accurate, durable and reliable oscillometric blood pressure measurement on the upper arm, based on the correct cuff/air chamber size and the applied pressure. TCBM holds the upper arm securely with a custom-fitted cuff circumference, the same measurement preparation performed by clinical nurses.
