MAGUS CHD30 is a camera designed to work with a microscope. With its help, you can create photo and video materials of the object under observation as well as edit them and even perform measurements. The special feature of this camera is the ability to be paired with a computer via Wi-Fi as well as with an external screen via the HDMI interface. The frame rate is 25 or 60 fps, respectively. When an external screen is connected, the camera automatically focuses on the object, making shooting easier and producing better results. The device is able to work autonomously and create a Full HD image (1920x1080 px). The combination of high frame rate and Full HD creates a high-quality image without interference or distortion.
Sensor
The device is built on a Sony color CMOS sensor. Its size is 1/1.9'', and the pixel size is 3.75x3.75 μm. Despite its small size, the sensor provides a light sensitivity of 1120 mV at 1/30 second. This is possible due to the backlight technology used in the design of the matrix. The camera can shoot in low light or fluorescent light. To create the widest possible field of view without distortion, it is recommended to use an adapter with a magnification of 0.5х to 0.75х.
Software
The camera has built-in software. It allows you to take pictures and record videos without connecting to a computer. The image can be displayed on an external screen via the HDMI interface. The frame rate is 60 fps. The camera software allows you to edit the image and measure the linear and angular dimensions of objects and their structures. Before starting the measurement, calibrate the software for each lens using a calibration slide. If you need to pair the device with a computer, you can do so via a Wi-Fi connection. In this case, you can also record videos at 25 fps.
Setting up the microscope
The device can be installed in a microscope in two ways: in the trinocular tube or in the eyepiece tube instead of the eyepiece. In both cases, a C-mount adapter will be required for connection. Installation in an eyepiece tube also requires an adapter ring to match the size of the tube.
Support for additional devices and accessories
You can connect several additional devices to the camera to make your work easier and more enjoyable. Using a mouse will eliminate the vibrations that usually occur when you come into direct contact with the device. The SD card will allow you to save photo and video materials directly to the camera. This line of cameras is also compatible with special MAGUS monitors. The monitors are installed directly on the device and thus create a complete viewing system.
